Pros: Styling, solid feel, seats, paddle shifters Cons: ENGINE, heavy for a compact The Bottom Line: Vastly improved over the old Lancer, but with insufficient motivation.

Pros: Good space, comfortable seats, very solid structure, reassuring driving dynamics. Cons: Only available engine is sleepy, and loud when revved; a depreciation curve to terrify spelunkers. The Bottom Line: Save for its listless performance, the new Lancer is competitive with the Civic and Mazda 3. If you like the look and don't have a lead foot, it's worth considering.
Background In the past five years, Mitsubishi has fielded a number of solid vehicles, each plagued by a single, crippling design flaw. To wit: the Galant sedans rear seat doesnt fold. The Endeavor SUV lacks a third row seat. The swift ...

Pros: looks good, good price, good warranty, made in Japan Cons: stiff ride, loud engine, road noise, interior quality, jerky transmission, back seat space. The Bottom Line: Looks like a really cool car, but the ride is very unpleasant. The interior quality is way unacceptable.
I know I probably shouldnt judge a car just from a test drive, but I cant resist, given that its a brand new model and no one has written a review on it yet, who knows it might actually help someone. When my boyfriend said he wanted ...

Pros: It sure looks sporty and pretty from the outside. Cons: NO A/C/Heater in the basic Lancer, cloth&cheap plastic interior, loud&weak engine&transmission The Bottom Line: Mitsubishi Lancer ES is too expensive for the features that come with the car. I won't buy one after my experience.
Introduction Since we are on a tight budget now and the price of gas and grocery keep going up. We had replace our Jaguar XJR that has a 370 HP supercharged V8 engine. Jaguar is a very nice car, I will buy it again if I have the money, but I ...

Pros: Good value, quiet at cruising speed, good highway mileage, stunning looks. Cons: Engine buzzy on acceleration, in-town mileage could be better. The Bottom Line: If you like the looks, don't hesitate just because Mitsubishi is a relatively unknown brand.
When our mechanic called to tell us that our 1999 Mazda Millenia needed 1000s of dollars in repairs and we'd be better off finding a new car, my wife and I found ourselves unexpectedly car shopping. I'd seen the new Lancers in pictures and a few on the ...

Pros: Great gas mileage, power, roominess of the car, warranty, turns heads. Cons: None that I can think of. The Bottom Line: Great sporty car that gives you plenty of power and great gas mileage.
This car has been wonderful to me. The new cvt transmission that is used in this car is awesome. The shifting in this car is so smooth its hard to tell when the car has shifted that I find myself many times speeding, because I'm so used to american cars ...

2008 Lancer a Great Car!!!

Pros: Good Looking, decent power, best warranty, 7 airbags, high tech features and GREAT handling. Cons: lacks torque and some interior parts feels cheap.
Me and my wife are looking for an affordable good looking car with a 10 year warranty. To our surprise the 2008 Lancer ES CVT we bought exceeded our expectations, the nimbleness and handling of this car is what made it special matching it's sporty good looks and high tech features. The engine at 152bhp wasnt torquey enough according to others but for me it suffices. Our's came with the 30gb Nav/Entertainment system, tech and appearance package totalling $20,405.00.
Honestly some of the interior parts feels kinda cheap like the glove compartment and inside door handle but all in all the total experience of driving and riding this handsome high tech car overshadows it's minor flaws like plasticky parts and the engine which lacks a low end punch. It's the type of car you wouldnt be embarrased parking next to a expensive sports car or luxury sedan, funny thing is this Lancer costs half as much but looks and performs more than it's actual price.
This 2008 Lancer is a sports compact family car:)

Great car!

Pros: Aggressive styling
Excellent hp for a stock 4 cylinder
Spacious, comfortable interior
Unbeatable warranty Cons: Gas mileage
Rear spoiler tends to block the rear view a bit
What a great car! I bought it about a month ago and it is an absolute joy to drive. The extras inside really give it a feel of a more expensive sedan, and the warranty is unbeatable. The styling of the car is aggressive, to say the least. The front end is described as being derived from the shape and structure of a jet engine, supposedly. Wherever they got the idea from, it is a wonderful looking vehicle. The gas mileage left me a bit wanting; I average about 22mpg in town and about 30 on the highway. All in all I would definitely recommend this vehicle to individuals who are looking to get a sporty car without sacrificing too much on interior room.
