Pros: Ease of use, super rapid cycle, bread comes out perfect everytime, many features. Cons: Needs to include more super rapid cycle recipes.
I used to own a Welbilt bread machine. It was terrible. For the years I had it, I could count on my right hand the times the bread actually came out. The main problem I had was the dough never rose properly, if at all. Then the machine started making a ...
Pros: It is small, not too loud, easy to use, predictable. Cons: Medium = dark, light = medium. Not really a big deal.
I bought this machine because I figured out that, because of the amount of bread I eat, and, because of the cost of buying the kind of bread I like to eat, this bread machine would pay for itself in roughly 6-8 months. This was a pretty risky investment ...
Pros: It's nice to have fresh bread Cons: bad customer service, weak motor, crust:light=medium. medium=dark and dark=burned.
I purchased this unit with high hopes and much excitement. For about a year before I made the purchase, a little piece of my heart died every time I purchased a loaf of bread from the supermarket. I did tons of research and found that, while Breadman ...
Pros: TONS of cycles! It is a good size for the counter and storing in cabinets Cons: I have to get used to it baking the loaves vertically
I purchased this machine to replace my old Regal Ware Kitchen Pro that I bought at Lechmere,(which I loved) because the bread pan bent and metal pieces fell off. I saw it at Macy's on sale for a good price so I couldn't resist. I have made about three ...
Pros: Dump and go
Many cycles
Very quiet
Durable (machine itself)
Cons: Barely audible beeper
Doesn't make 2 pound loaves in machine
Flimsy loaf pan/engager
I bought this because we need to make our own bread (egg and dairy allergies) and with small kids, I didn't have time to make from scratch. The initial cookbook wasn't that effective. I purchased Hensberger's Bread Lovers Bread Machine Cookbook and ...
Pros: Easy to use; easy to clean; size. Cons: Crusts come out a bit dark; "Medium" is DARK, so I'd stay with "Light".
I purchased the Breadman TR555(C) because I was curious about bread machines, and the prices have come down dramatically in the past few years. I did a fair amount of research, and found good and bad reviews about every machine I considered; so I settled on this machine, because it had a pause function, beeper for adding fruit/nuts, a sufficient timer to set it the evening or morning before I needed the bread to bake, and the size meant it wasn't going to take over my entire kitchen counter. So far, I've been successful with every loaf I've made (baking the fifth loaf as I type), although the recipes could use some spiffing up. I'll learn to modify the recipes once I get over my beginner's jitters; I'm new to breadbaking and so will be careful with changing recipes while I get used to working with yeast. The mixing/kneading cycles work well; I was impressed to see that the small paddle is able to get all the ingredients out of the corners of the pan.
Pros: easy to use, easy to clean, many different settings Cons: The crust does come out too dark if you cook in container.
Ok, I love bread. I love making it, and I love eating it. We bought this item 4-5 years ago at Target and I still love it. I recently saw the same model at Bed Bath & Beyond at the same price. It makes bread making a breeze. Before we bought this bread maker, I made it myself, and it took forever to rise sometimes. But now...its a breeze!
About a year ago though, I was making a loaf and while it was kneading, the whole appliance fell off of the counter. I guess it just moved to much. We have tile flooring so I was sure it was broken. However, I'm still using it! Talk about quality. It works the same as when I first bought it.
