Pros: Attractive and comfortable carrier for heavier baby Cons: Not comfortable extended periods; strap scratches baby's face
WHY PURCHASED We now own four baby carriers: Baby Bjorn, New Native Sling, Hug-A-Bub, and this one. Each serve a different purpose. The Bjorn was great until our darling daughter (DD) started to get heavier (at about 5 months). The New Native Sling ...

Pros: Design, nice lightweight material, cost. Cons: None that I can think of.
At 5 1/2 months, my beautiful girl weighed-in at 20 pounds. The traditional Bjorn front carrier started to really hurt my shoulders. To add confusion to the mix, I have an outdoor-loving 2 1/2 year old who wants me to actively play with her...all the ...

Pros: Ingenious design, fair price, safety for baby, extra space for keys, attached raincover Cons: Can't think of much except wished it was sold in more stores
I found this in a family owned baby store and haven't seen it on any other mega stores. I had previously bought the Playtex Hammock Hipster and tried it but didn't like it so I returned it. I felt the baby wasn't very well protected and my daughter ...

Ouch, my neck!
by hkkelley ,Mar 03 '07
Pros: -Good looks
-Baby seemed comfortable Cons: -Very uncomfortable for the wearer
I ordered this baby carrier because my 5 month old is started to hurt my shoulders in the Baby Bjorn and it seemed like a good alternative. I read the reviews and it sounded great and I loved the style. I tried it on and OUCH!! Even after numerous adjustments made by myself and my husband, all of my baby's weight was being supported by the side of my neck. The shoulder strap would just scoot right over to my neck as soon as I put the baby in. My husband tried it on for himself and he said that it really didn't hurt him (in the 5 minutes he had it on), but that he could tell that none of the baby's weight was distributed to his waist and hips at all as the description claims, but all on his shoulder and neck too. I returned it the same day I got it - after trying to tweak it for over an hour. I think I'll stick with the Baby Bjorn. At least it distributes over both shoulders instead of one side of my neck.

Very Pleased
by rookiemum ,Jul 10 '05
Pros: Pocket, raincoat, and compact design are great! Cons: Not available in Canada & the need to switch shoulders after long periods of time.
I took a chance and bought this sling online after reading the previous review and I'm very pleased. My son (6.5 mths)wasn't enjoying the Baby Bjorn Active Carrier anymore because he had to face me completely or face out completely. This sling allows him to see me and look around, as well as freeing up more of my own space so that I can do more. The raincoat is adorable and the extra pocket and compactibility in folding up is great! It's easy to get baby in and out and keeps him close to me!
