Pros: Eiderdown is a luxury most people will never even touch, much less afford.
Cons: Eiderdown is so expensive, it's not worth paying for, unless you are very, very wealthy.
I am writing to inform those who are not aware, that if you buy an Eiderdown Comforter, you are probably not getting one, unless you are paying at least a few thousand dollars U.S., and up to around ten thousand. Eiderdown is a very rare down from the Eider duck, found in the nests of the Eider, located in Iceland. Each handful of Eider down is pulled out of small holes in the ground where Eider ducks live, and it takes a large amount to make a king or queen size comforter. So, if you find an Eiderdown comforter for only hundreds of dollars for sale, it is in no way actually "Eiderdown". Some manufacturers actually use this term to describe their goose and duck down products, and it is misleading to those people out there who don't know the facts. Beware of the Eiderdown salesman. Most Eiderdown available on the market is fools gold.
