Pros: Great Bread, so simple to make, can make a big difference in a meal. Cons: Short cord, no power switch, and difficult to clean.
My fiancée loves bread. Of all the foods to love, she loves bread ok. I saw a deal on Amazon and got this little guy for only 40 bucks. Figured I couldnt go wrong, and I didnt. So you can use it right out of the box, assuming that y ...
Pros: Small loaf, reliable performance, fast cooking time, sturdy and well made. Cons: Bread has slight yeasty flavor.
I love this bread machine! I have a full sized bread machine, but I rarely use it. A regular bread machine takes 2-3 hours to make a loaf, and it makes a large loaf that quickly spoils. It just wasn't practical for a busy single person. Many larger ...
Pros: Quick and Easy Cons: Hard to disassemble for cleaning.
I bought it because it was cute! That's a dumb reason but I wanted a bread maker and knew one couple wouldn't use a whole big machine too often. I kept it because its fun, easy and makes great bread in a short time. The manual has great recipes ...
Pros: Perfect sized bread for one or two people. Quick cycle time. Many included recipes. Cons: None
I previously used a 'standard' sized bread machine and found that much of the loaf was wasted. As a single person, large quantities would ultimately become stale before they could be used. This small unit makes the perfect sized loaf that can be consumed...
We purchased one of these for my 80 year old grandfather. He really missed homemade bread after my grandmother passed away. We showed him how to use it (just dump all the ingredients in and press start!) and now he's making these great little loaves for...
Pros: quick, makes the right size bread for us. Cons: Sorry, have nothing bad to say..
Its all I could ask for in a bread machine. I make quick loaves for company to take home. We are on a low carb diet and I use pure gluten flour instead of regular flour and my loaves look as good as a regular loaf. I have put the ingredients in and let it rise till the first buzz, take out the dough and make cinnamon rolls, calzones, or whatever I need the dough for. It is quick and mighty. I want to order another one in case something happens to this one. All my sisters have one also and rave about theirs. They also use the gluten flour.
This is a 5 star machine.
Great little bread maker! by harmonyblue ,May 15 '05
Pros: Fast loaf (45 minutes),no waste, can make bread many times a week Cons: hard to clean, surface seems to eventually lose some of its no stick quality
I,too, have a large bread maker I rarely use. I read about the Just for Dinner shortly after receiving my larger bread maker as a Christmas gift, and was very impressed with what I heard. You get a small loaf in 45 minutes, perfect for 1-2 people (the bread doesn't go to waste/get stale), you can make a loaf of bread while you are cooking dinner instead of starting it hours in advance, plus you are free to try more kinds of bread recipes, and have a smaller loaf to consume if you decide you don't like it. You can make a different kind of bread every night for dinner. You can use bread mixes, or your own ingredients (the manual contains many bread recipes).
I have a small kitchen, so the size is perfect, and the color works okay with my color scheme. I would recommend this bread maker to busy households or single folks who love bread & don't want to spend a lot of time!
Pros: Great bread, a snap to clean, just the right size, so quick and easy. Cons: ABSOLUTELY NONE :)
Have had a regular sized bread machine for years but with the kids gone found I never used it anymore as it was so wasteful. My husband and I have really missed having fresh baked bread for dinner. We are so happy with this. Fresh bread again and in just 45 minutes!! I come home from work, throw in the ingredients an it's all ready by the time I have dinner cooked. It has lots of recipes in the book and we haven't found one that wasn't good. It's small size makes it easy to keep on my counter which I never did with the big one. Can't believe I see that someone reviewed it as "hard to clean". There's nothing to it. We highly recommend this marvelous little appliance.
Pros: Perfect loaf size, makes great bread, and I find it easy to clean. Cons: The stir piece can be hard to get out. Not carried in many stores.
I have worn out 4 bread machines. I was given a new one after the Just For Dinner machine and I gave it back. I love the Just For Dinner Machine and am going back to it. You can make a variety of breads in it. And, it takes less than an hour to go from thinking about bread to having a fresh loaf! It's the perfect size for me and I'm not throwing away old bread. If I want a larger loaf, I just mix 2 loaves in the machine, put the dough in a bread pan, and pop it in the oven for 20 minutes. I think Just For Dinner machine makes the best bread and it does it in less time than other machines. The holes in the bread are more like homemade than with the other machines I have used. I also found it easy to clean compared to some of the machines with the long vertical loaf.
I have arthritis and with the machine I can have fresh bread without the fatigue and pain of doing bread by hand. It's a real plus in my kitchen.
