Pros: Hardtop convertible, performance, great standard features, quality, stereo sound, I could go on.
Cons: A few rattles, no CD player standard, power seats optional, no tilt steering wheel option.
The Bottom Line: Imagine cruising down a beautiful tree-lined road, 70 degrees, top down, music on, blue sky, sun shining, on your way to nowhere...it doesn't get much better than that.

I am happy to say I have a 2003 SLK230 Kompressor with optional 5spd/auto TouchShift. It's a 4 cylinder supercharged motor pushing 192 horsepower. I also added heated seats and a 6 disc CD changer. I was considering a few other cars before choosing the...

Pros: One-touch Hard Top. Sleek Styling. Great gas mileage. Power when you need it.
Cons: Could use Tilt-wheel and steering wheel radio controls.
The Bottom Line: GREAT BUY - Awesome car!

Well this is my 3rd MB car but my first MB convertible and first MB roadster. Having said that I will say that this is one of the funnest cars I have owned (I have owned Corvettes, a BMW Z3, and a slew of other cars). This little creation is simply ...

Pros: It's toy-like
Fair top speed (145)
HardTopConvertable
Sounds good for a four-banger
SAFE
Cons: Tail lights overheat but there's a recall
Interior paint peels
Excuse the informal review.
I've owned one of these cars for about 2 years now and am approaching the 100k mile mark. It's a zippy little car, but not a race car (the SLK32 is one of the quickest cars on the road, hands down. It has a 0-60 of 4.5 seconds. Most other 'fast' cars (Mustang GT, WRX STI, Lancer EVO, Corvette) have a 0-60 of 4.9 seconds. The 32 breaks that barrier).
I'm around 6ft 3in tall and I fit in it okay. GREAT safety rating.
ANYWAY, the SLK is a fairly solid car and has served me well. The only real big issue everybody has with it is that the interior paint comes off. I solved that by removing the panels and sand blowing them. You can expect a problem here or there but all in all it's a nice vehicle. The cockpit isn't too quiet.
The headlights look a bit old but you can get new looking ones.
There are also newer looking tail lights you can get because of the recall.
