If you could pick just one...

If the purchase cost was given to you and you could have any car you like, but you could only have that one car as a everyday vehicle, which would you pick?

Maybe I'm the only one, but I find this a difficult decision. I LOVE the idea of having an exotic sports car, but know that as a father of two small children that could never work. The Audi S4 wagon would be fun to drive and practical space-wise, but the gas mileage is horrendous and Audi's reliability reputation is not so stellar these days.

Although it's not out yet, I think I'd have to give the nod to the upcoming Lexus GS 450h. Good size (not too small, not too big), fast, reliable (presumably), good gas mileage, and not bad looking (imho).

RE: If you could pick just one...

I don't want to discourage you but we had a brief thread on this very topic already, although that was some time ago. It's at www.epinions.com/msg/show_~threads/cat_id_~3/id_~2973/forum_id_~124

I'm not sure if my pick has changed, since it's an Audi A6 wagon. As you point out, the company's reliability has been dismal as of late. But I still like the car and have a good history with Audis.

Wow

2005 was the last post here, so this message board is never read, it seems.
Still, I'd have to answer this question and say hands down, the Dodge Magnum would be the way I'd go.
comfort, room, and a hemi V8. It's a great package.
