Audio Book Only?

Is it okay to post a book review when the entry seems to only be pointing toward an audio book?

The specific entries I'm looking at are:

http://www.epinions.com/The_Worst_Witch_by_Jill_Murphy_and_narrated_by_Miriam_Margolyes

http://www.epinions.com/The_Worst_Witch_Strikes_Again_by_Jill_Murphy_and_narrated_by_Miriam_Margolyes/display_~full_specs

There's another one in the series I have that's in the db without any details or picture at all.

--snip--

My understanding is that all the various formats of a specific book are/can/should be included under one URL. Because of the way the site is 'loaded' I am sure that is not always the case.

I guess I would weigh the Eps search engine results (which URL is easier to find) and the absence/presence of shopping links and only then worry about pics and details.

I too will be interested in what others deem to be correct in this situation.

RE: Audio Book Only?

I didn't find two entries for the same book. Though there may be another entry hiding in the database somewhere.

These books are in a series. Some have entries that are just audiobooks and some have more or less blank entries. I guess I'll write reviews and see what sort of ratings and comments I get. :)

I can always SAP it and move it later if necessary. (Maybe)

Thanks for the reply.

RE: Audio Book Only?

I'm with Tom. Format is secondary as far as eeps is concerned. The important thing is that the title, author, and shopping links are correct.

If there's only one listing, it's best not to add another for a different format. If there's more than one, pick whichever you want, but take findability and shopping link accuracy into consideration. And all things being equal, I like to have cover images.

In any case, I wouldn't sweat over it. The listings changes over time as eeps messes around with its catalog. Which is why I'm happy for the new Move function.

RE: Audio Book Only?

Since we don't add SAPs for books that are already in the database, it's perfectly acceptable to post a review of a book to the audiobook listing.

The exception would be for books such as annotated or illustrated editions, specific audio versions which have changes other than simple abridgment (dramatized versions for example) or other editions which are somehow completely unique.

It would probably behoove you to include information about the specific edition you are reviewing at the end of your review.

I generally try to remember to do this. ISBN or copyright or something.

Thanks.
