RE: Ok... I'm bored.... Let's talk Harry Potter...SPOILERS
Quote: gatorgirlie Sorry about that Andy... guess I'm still thinking that everyone has read HBP...
Anyway... This post, and subsequent posts in the thread, will be operating under the assumption you have completely read Book 6... If you haven't, there will be spoilers.
---------------------------------------------------------
While I'm not sure that the majority of people here even like the series, I'm bored... don't have any reviews to write... and am anxiously awaiting the next Harry Potter novel.
Would anyone else like to talk? Theories? Is Snape good or bad (I'm about 75% in the good camp)? What does "Deathly Hallows" mean? Who is going to die (there will be at least two people according to JKR... one that made her cry)? Where is the last Horcrux? Where will Sirius and Dumbledore come into play?
I can get in depth into my theories if others want to play... but right now I'm leaning in the Snape is good camp... and I have a sinking feeling that one of the "big three" is going to die. I really don't think it's going to be Harry (his life has SUCKED up until now... at least let him enjoy his life with Ginny... PLEASE), so that is leaving me with either Hermione or Ron. One is just as bad as the other, but I'm thinking it's going to be Ron. Don't ask me why. Sirius will probably make a brief appearance in the seventh book (while I admit he's dead... darn it... that mirror Harry has can be repaired), and Harry will talk with DD through his portrait.
Deathly Hallows is hard... because "hallows" usually means along the lines of sacred, blessed, holy or revered. Deathly means (of course) causing death, fatal, or having the characteristic of death. Personally, I'm leaning towards the latter definition for the word "deathly." But what exactly are we talking about with "hallows" ? A cemetery? Hogwarts (some could consider the hallways revered)? Godric's Hollow? Or might it not be talking about a place... could it be talking about the horcruxes themselves? Those could be considered "holy" to Voldemort... as far as the horcruxes go... We have the ring (destroyed by DD), diary (destroyed by Harry), locket (possibly destroyed by RAB... or it could be still in Sirius's old house.. speaking of RAB I'm 99% sure it has to be Regulus Black), Hufflepuff's cup (?), Voldemort's Snake Nagini and... what? The Gryffindor sword is at Hogwarts... did Ravenclaw have an artifact that Voldemort found?
Well... I need to stop now... What does anyone else think?
:)
