Another one with no title

I have been looking for a particular book off and on for the last few years that I found on the library shelves in the early 90s (it's most likely older than that though). The main character's name is Parsley and she had a green bookmark that allowed her to go inside books. She brought the cat from "The Incredible Journey" back with her, and I think a couple of other things, then her cousin accidentally ends up with her in the middle of the Mad Hatter's tea party in "Alice in Wonderland". If this rings any bells, please let me know. I read it when I was six or seven, it is a chapter book, and I would love to read it again.

Thanks!

Lol, you must be handier with the Google than I am, I've tried every option I could to find it...of course, I never put "The Incredible Journey" into the search since it's a minor part of the story.

...lol... indeed

My wife / kids have an incredible time finding anything in google. The key is obviously knowing what terms to search for.

It is telling, wychic, that you mention 'The Incredible Journey' in your clues here but never let google grind on it.

google-searching is an art I say..!!

...tom...

Welcome. I'm a real killer data miner, having been doing it for twenty years (back to the days when I had to use || for boolean ORs and && for ands). The key is generally to use the smallest combination of the most unusual words. In fact, if you just use parsley bookmark, the Amazon listing appears at number 4 on the results at google.com.

Having a copy of Google Hacks doesn't hurt, either.

Though it's minor, it was important enough to you that you remembered it - and apparently memorable enough that someone at a library in Vermont mentioned it. The reason for that, I gather, is that Parsley's bookmark is from a fictional library somewhere in Vermont.
