Pros: Moderately priced, very good bread, easy to clean Cons: Takes up space, potential bizarre chemical presence
I’m a skeptic for two reasons. First, I’m a purist. I feel that good bread can only come from an oven, and is always best when made by hand. Second, I am wary of appliances in general, especially when they have only one function (I agree with Alton ...
Pros: Good bread, lots of uses, looks great, easy to use Cons: Large on the counter
Well, Christmas was coming and my trusted Breadman of 10 years finally died. I was suprised it lasted as long as it had considering I made one or two loaves of bread in it every week. It finally stopped heating so I needed a new machine. There were ...
Pros: With a little patience comes excellent bread. Beautiful Stainless Steel unit. Cons: Not any so far.
I began my search for a bread machine well before I actually purchased this model - reading specs and many reviews regarding different brands and models of machine. The time came when I could not read another piece of information and I noticed this ...
Pros: inspiring, easy, tasty bread, doesn't travel off the counter. Cons: You have to reference the guide to know which bread course the number display represents.
So I got the Breadman tr900s after reading these reviews and understood that consistency and predictability are the qualities most useful when choosing a bread machine. It's been over two weeks now and I still haven't bought any commercial bread. ...
Pros: Ease of use, quality of product, ease of clean up, price, easy-to-read (and program) display/options Cons: Not sure about complete mixing (gathering the excess around the side of the pan)?
Yesterday I purchased my first bread machine ($105.00 including tax at Target), as I have always insisted on making it by hand in the years past. I researched VERY, VERY, VERY carefully to ensure choosing the best machine possible. I researched models ...
Pros: Raises 100% whole wheat bread flawlessly! Cons: Lack of pause control - not a big deal.
I have tested and returned the following machines: Zojirushi X-20 (2 paddle machine) - Machine doesn't mix well at all and produces an unbrowned product. Sometimes doughy. Returned 2 machines and decided not to buy again. Breadman TR-2200C - ...
Pros: Produces a nice horizontal loaf
Easy to use
Looks good
Great variety of cycles Cons: Only lasted 6 months
Limited durability
Have waited over 3 months for replacement
I purchased the Breadman TR900S Bread Maker in August, 2006. I love home made bread and wanted a bread machine that produced a horizontal good looking loaf of bread. This machine does that and much more. I love the quality of the bread, and the ease ...
Pros: It WAS a good machine, ok if you are a light user Cons: TERRIBLE customer service, not tough enough for a heavy user
With all due respect to all those that have written glowing reviews about this product, please read this. Unlike the vast majority of users that make bread once or twice a month (maybe), my wife makes bread about twice per week. We have had the machine ...
Pros: High quality, lots of features, low price and a decent manual. Cons: none
I had made bread by hand a few times with fair results but the job was always messy, time consuming and didn't seem to be worth all the bother.
Years back I had considered buying a bread machine but the technology was in its infancy and I decided it would be a good idea to wait.
Cut to 2005 and I see a bread machine model in stainless steel, made by a well established company.
I also noted the modest price and decided to take the plunge.
This little machine has really surprised me with the products it can turn out.
I have made white, whole grain and combination loafs and also dough for pizza crust.
All have been tasty and easy to make.
This is not to say I haven't made a doorstop or 2 but I would call these operator error.
If you are looking for a bread machine, be sure to look at the Breadman TR900S.
Very good machine-Highly recommend it by sophiem ,Mar 04 '06
Pros: Makes excellent bread; easy to use and easy to clean Cons: Takes up space, does not always gather all the flour from the sides.
I had been looking for a bread machine for a while and my husband purchased the Breadman Pro TR900S based on reviews found on this and other consumers websites. Several months have passed and I have made a loaf of bread almost every day using the BreadmanPro. Overall I am very pleased with this machine. It is very easy to use even for a novice to bread making or bread machines like me.
Pros: Easy to use, looks good enough to leave on the countertop. Cons: Hard to read display panel. Should be lit!
We purchased this machine when our other breadmaker bit the dust!! Our old breadmaker was no longer being made so this was our next choice!! What a wonderful choice!! All bread raises high and light!! The machine itself is very stylish and can be left on the counter rather than stored away.
Pros: Produces a good product using other breadmakers recipes. Cons: Poor customer service. Discolored front after removing label. Pan jumped out of locks.
Horizontal pan produces a nice looking loaf of bread but
recipe book calls for "Box Cake Mix" rather than dry ingredients in some of it's recipes.
I have owned two other brands of bread makers and never used a "Box Mix" to make bread. The stainless steel front of my machine has a large discolored square area after removing the label. I have twice contacted the customer service center via e-mail and have yet to receive a response to my questions. I hope this doesn't reflect how any future service needs will be provided.
I loved it but it is already broken by urma ,Nov 08 '07
Pros: excellent bread, easy to use, great look Cons: noise, not for intensive use
I just loved it at first sight ! Great look, easy to use, excellent bread, several programs, the shape of the loaf is good. It was my first bread machine and first time to bake my own bread. I have used it a lot ! I mean a lot ! 3-4 bread a week... for one year and a half ! Occasionally, the pan would pop out of it but it was ok. The thing is that it was LOUD. I had to put it in the basement because it was difficult to talk in the kitchen while the machine was kneaded. I would say it was a pain, but really the bread was excellent ! So I carried on like that. Now, the pan doesn't stay in proper place anymore and pop out every time it kneads. I must say it has had an intensive use with mainly whole wheat breads, but one year and a half, honestly !! So now I read all those reviews and will go for the customer service. I hope it will be efficient, because it is like losing a good friend.
